The best way to experience Augmented Reality is in reality... hands on! ... also eyes/ears/body on!
FYI, Virtual Reality is 100% immersive experience thru a headset or controlled space. For Augmented Reality you need to be able to see thru the screen or headset to the real world and overlay ultra-valuable data and content. You cannot see thru Facebook’s VR Oculus headset screen. Think about the building construction team that can be looking at a wall and “see” the blueprint drawings where the plumbing and electricity are … right in front of them!
Dozens of demos and presentations impressed. I will be adding to this below list of the most promising...
Meta - a thousand bucks lets your dreams come true... virtually
StriVR - Immersive performance training
TACTAI- enables users to touch and feel virtual objects with life-like realism.
Here are some pit crew at the VR Motion Labs demo. This awesome Simulation Systems is tuned for a high performance racing experience.
